Resources: State Dept. Trafficking Report Cites CAMSA Cases

TIP Report  Vietnam Vietnamese BPSOS Boat People SOS CAMSA human trafficking  Ủy Ban Cứu Người Vượt Biển UBCNVB nạn buôn ngườiJuly 9, 2009: Two of the cases tackled by the Coalition to Abolish Modern-day Slavery in Asia (CAMSA) are listed in the US State Department’s recently released Trafficking in Persons Report.

The new report, the ninth annual release of its kind, sheds light on the faces of modern-day slavery and on new facets of this global problem, which affects virtually every country.

“In acknowledging America’s own struggle with modern-day slavery and slavery-related practices, we offer partnership. We call on every government to join us in working to build consensus and leverage resources to eliminate all forms of human trafficking,” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said of the report.
