Resources: A VOICE for Vulnerable Refugees and Trafficking Victims

voiceApril 30, 2009: The Vietnamese Overseas Initiative for Conscience Empowerment (VOICE) is another organization making great efforts related to human trafficking.

VOICE informally began in 1997 in Manila as a small legal aid office, helping the 2,500 stateless Vietnamese refugees in the Philippines. Since then, VOICE, in collaboration with other NGOs and community groups, has helped to resettle almost 2,300 individuals. In 2007, VOICE expanded its work beyond refugee protection to aiding and advocating for vulnerable women and children in Cambodia.
