Resources: 38 Films That Challenge Human Trafficking

UN.GIFT, which has compiled a list of top anti-trafficking films, has created this public service announcement to alert people to the crime of trading in human beings.

April 3, 2009: From POV (point of view) footage from child prostitutes in Cambodia to Daryl Hannah disguising herself to document modern-day slavery, here are 38 movies that will change the way you see the world.

Somewhere on this list is the film that will hit home when you screen it for friends, family, or colleagues, moving them from indifference to action.

This list of films, which is up to date and includes links to sites for each one, has been compiled by UN.GIFT, the United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking. UN.GIFT “works with all stakeholders – governments, business, academia, civil society and the media – to support each other’s work, create new partnerships and develop effective tools to fight human trafficking.”
