Background: Videos Show Vietnamese Workers’ Struggle for Justice in Jordan

January 16, 2009: To help people in other parts of the world understand the vulnerability and suffering of guest workers, Boat People SOS created a video account of the struggle of the W&D Apparel workers in Jordan.

The video is a useful tool for grasping the ways in which workers overseas are frequently isolated and mistreated to an extent that would be difficult or impossible in their home countries, where they have social and political support networks.

You can view Part II of the video by clicking here.

This blog post may be useful to forward to friends who are unfamiliar with the fight for justice at W&D Apparel, since the video is a relatively easy way to get up to speed on the current struggle.
